The State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC) for the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 has officially released the admit cards for the upcoming examination. This test is specifically designed for candidates aspiring to secure teaching positions in Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools across Bodo, Garo, Manipuri, and Hmar medium institutions in Assam. The examination is scheduled to be held on 28 June 2026. Candidates are advised to download their hall tickets from the official SEBA portal to ensure they have the necessary documentation for entry into the examination hall. The admit card serves as the primary verification document, containing essential details such as the candidate's roll number, examination center address, and reporting time. It is crucial for all applicants to verify the information printed on their hall ticket against their original identification documents to avoid any discrepancies on the day of the test. The examination will be conducted in a pen-and-paper format, and strict adherence to the guidelines provided by the conducting authority is mandatory for all participants.

The selection process for the Special Assam TET 2026 involves a written examination consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. The exam is conducted for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes, with no negative marking for incorrect answers. A minimum qualifying score of 60% is required to obtain the TET certificate, which holds lifetime validity for future teaching recruitment drives in the state.

The examination consists of two papers, each carrying 150 marks. Paper I for Lower Primary (Class I-V) covers Child Development, two languages, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper II for Upper Primary (Class VI-VIII) includes Child Development, two languages, and a choice between Mathematics & Science or Social Science. Each paper is 150 minutes long with no negative marking.
