This study examines how swirling ocean currents, known as eddies, influence the exchange of energy between the sea and the sky. It uses advanced radar data from the NISAR satellite to track these water movements along the Indian coastline. This research is funded by ISRO.

Final selection will be made through interviews, which will be conducted after the preliminary shortlisting of candidates based on their academic qualifications.

• M.Sc./M.Tech. in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics or related subjects with 60% marks or 6.50 CGPA with GATE or NET of UGC/CSIR or any national level exam.
• Valid GATE score or NET certificate of CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT/ICAR (LS/JRF).
• Final year/result awaited students may apply.
• Desirable: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Atmospheric Science/Atmosphere and Ocean Science/Meteorology/Oceanography/Climate Science/Equivalent; knowledge in data analysis using MATLAB or Python and Deep learning methods.
