Project 1: "Eco-friendly management of Banana pseudostem weevil (Odoioporus longicollis Oliver) and banana scaring beetle (Basilepta spp.)"
This study focuses on developing natural and sustainable methods to control harmful insects that damage banana crops. It aims to reduce the use of chemical pesticides by finding biological and mechanical solutions to protect plants from the pseudostem weevil and scaring beetle. This research is funded by the ICAR-National Research Centre for Banana.
Project 2: "Novel smart systems for developing high value nutraceutical foods using banana and exploring non-food applications"
This study focuses on creating advanced methods to turn bananas into high-value health foods. It also aims to discover new ways to use banana plants in non-food industries, such as creating eco-friendly materials or textiles. This research is funded by the ICAR-National Research Centre for Banana.
