Selection Process

The selection process is based on a Main (written) Examination. Candidates are shortlisted for this exam based on their normalized PET-2025 scores, with the commission inviting 15 times the number of advertised vacancies. The written exam consists of 100 objective-type questions covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Forensic Science, Computer/IT, and Uttar Pradesh General Knowledge. A negative marking of 25% (1/4 mark) applies to each incorrect answer.

Exam Pattern

The examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 120 minutes. The paper is divided into three parts: Part-1 (Science & Math, 60 questions), Part-2 (Computer & IT, 15 questions), and Part-3 (UP General Knowledge, 20 questions). Each question carries 1 mark, with a 0.25 negative marking penalty for wrong answers.
