Cutoff Marks

Application Fee

Age Limit

21 to 40 years as on 01-07-2026. Relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per UP Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection process involves three distinct stages. First, candidates are shortlisted based on their normalized scores in the PET-2025 examination, with a ratio of 1:15 for vacancies. Second, shortlisted candidates must appear for a written OMR-based Main Examination consisting of 100 objective-type questions covering accounting, computer knowledge, and UP-specific general knowledge. A negative marking of 0.25 applies for each incorrect answer. Finally, successful candidates proceed to the document verification stage to confirm their credentials.

Exam Pattern

The Main Examination is a 120-minute objective test with 100 marks. It includes 65 marks for Accounting (Audit, Final Accounts, Depreciation, Taxation, etc.), 15 marks for Computer/IT knowledge, and 20 marks for Uttar Pradesh General Knowledge. There is a 1/4 negative marking for wrong answers.

Yes, it is absolutely mandatory. Only candidates who appeared in UPSSSC PET-2025 and have been issued a PET-2025 Score Card by the Commission are eligible to apply for this Main Examination. Candidates who did not appear in PET-2025 or scored zero/negative cannot apply.

A total of 1829 vacancies are being filled for the posts of Auditor (Lekha Pareekshak) and Assistant Accountant (Sahayak Lekhakaar) across 22 departments of the Government of Uttar Pradesh under UPSSSC Advertisement No. 14-Exam/2026.

For most posts, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized University AND an ‘O’ Level Computer Diploma from a Government-recognized institution. For the Auditor post under Local Fund Accounts Examination, a Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy is also acceptable. Exact qualifications vary by department as per the relevant service rules — candidates must check the notification carefully.

The last date to submit the online application form and pay the fee is 03-08-2026. After this date, no new applications or fee payments will be accepted. However, candidates who have already applied can still reconcile the fee and amend permitted fields in their application up to 10-08-2026. After 10-08-2026, no amendment or correction in the application form will be possible.

Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be done on the basis of the normalized score obtained by candidates in PET-2025. Candidates equal to 15 times the number of category-wise vacancies will be shortlisted, including all candidates who have scored up to the final cut-off normalized score (calculated up to two decimal places).

The Main Examination is a single-shift Objective Type MCQ paper with 100 questions carrying 100 marks in 120 minutes (2 hours). It has three parts: Part 1 (65 marks) covers Accounting subjects including Audit, Double Entry, RTGS, e-Banking, Advance Accountancy, and Taxation; Part 2 (15 marks) covers Computer & IT concepts; Part 3 (20 marks) covers General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh. There is negative marking of 1/4 (25%) for each wrong answer.

The application fee is Rs. 25/- (online processing charge only) for all categories — Unreserved, OBC, SC, and ST. There is no separate application fee. The Main Examination fee will be charged separately from shortlisted candidates before the Admit Card for the Main Exam is issued.

Yes. Candidates must select their preferred department/post at the time of filling the online application. If a department or post is not selected/checked by the candidate, no claim for that post will be entertained. Candidates must also indicate their preference order of departments. UPSSSC will attempt to allot the post based on merit and candidate preference, but the final allotment decision rests with the Commission.

The EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate must have been issued between 01-04-2026 and 03-08-2026, must be based on FY 2025-26 income (annual family income below Rs. 8 lakhs from all sources), and must be valid for FY 2026-27. It must be on the prescribed format issued as per UP Government Office Memo No. 3/2019/4/1/2002/Ka-2/19TC.Si.-II, dated 14-03-2019. A general income certificate will not be accepted.

No fresh registration is required. Candidates must log in using their PET-2025 Registration Number along with the OTP sent to the mobile number/email registered at the time of PET-2025. All personal details (name, date of birth, domicile, category, EWS/horizontal reservation details, photo, and signature) will be auto-populated from PET-2025 data and cannot be changed, except for the permitted fields mentioned in the notification.
