Job Description

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a written Examination on 19/07/2026 for the recruitment of 349 Group-A category Sarkari Naukri vacancy posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) under Central Armed Forces Assistant Commandant Recruitment Examination, 2026 (Advt. No. 08/2026-CPF).

How to Apply

Suitable and desirable candidates should Apply Online in the prescribed format at the UPSC website https://upsconline.gov.in from 20/02/2026 to 12/03/2026 only for UPSC Assistant Commandant CAPF Recruitment Exam 2026.

Application Fee

An application fee of ₹200/- (SC/ST/Women candidates are exempted) to be deposited either by using Net Banking Facility of any Bank or by using Visa/Master/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment for appearing in CAPF (ACs) Exam, 2026.

Age Limit

20-25 years as of 1st August 2026. The upper age is relaxed for SC/ ST/ OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the basis of a written examination to be conducted on 19/07/2026 by the UPSC, followed by the Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Personality Test/ Interview to be conducted by UPSC.
