How to Apply

Step 1: Check Eligibility First

Before applying, confirm you meet these criteria:

  • For B.Sc. Nursing: Minimum age of 17 years as of December 31, 2026; passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English; minimum 45% marks in PCB for General/OBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
  • For M.Sc. Nursing: Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 55% aggregate marks and be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN/RM) with a State Nursing Council.

Step 2: Visit the Official Portal

Go to the new official portal: https://www.abvmucet26.co.in/. The university launched this new portal for the 2026 exam for smoother access and to reduce technical errors.

Step 3: Register / Create an Account

  • Click the β€œRegister” button for your respective course (B.Sc./M.Sc./Post Basic B.Sc.) and provide basic details like your name, parents’ name, date of birth, category, and mobile/email.
  • Complete the registration by entering the OTPs sent to your registered email and mobile number, then note down your Registration ID and Password.
  • You will not be allowed to edit these basic registration details later, so fill them carefully.

Step 4: Fill the Application Form

  • Log in using your credentials and fill out the application form in stages.
  • This includes personal details, academic qualifications, address information, and exam city preferences.
  • You can choose 3 preferred exam centres from the 20 cities available across UP. The university will allot a centre based on your choices and availability.

Step 5: Upload Documents & Live Photo

  • Upload a digital photograph, your signature, and a scanned copy of the verification form (downloadable from the CNET 2026 applicant dashboard).
  • Also submit your bank account details for potential refund processing.
  • Note that uploading a live/real-time photo has now become mandatory in the UP CNET 2026 application form for candidate verification.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

  • After previewing the form, pay the application fee of β‚Ή3,000 (β‚Ή2,000 for certain reserved categories) via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
  • The fee, once paid, is non-refundable.

Step 7: Final Submission

  • On the final submission page, preview and verify all filled-in details, click the declaration button, and then click β€œFinal Submit.” After successfully submitting, a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.
  • Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Step 8: Use Correction Window (If Needed)

  • The authority provides a one-time opportunity for candidates who have already submitted their form to make corrections through the CNET 2026 edit window, open from May 13 to May 20, 2026.
  • Note that not all fields can be edited.
