Selection Process
The selection process is a competitive examination consisting of three distinct stages. First, candidates must qualify in the Paper-II Computer Based Test (CBT), which includes objective questions on Language and General Knowledge. Second, those who qualify in the CBT will have their Paper-I descriptive written essay evaluated. Finally, the evaluation of the Record of Service (APARs) is conducted. The final merit list is prepared based on the combined aggregate score of 260 marks from all three components.
Exam Pattern
The examination comprises a descriptive Paper-I (100 marks) and an objective Paper-II (100 marks). Paper-II includes sections on General English/Hindi and General Knowledge, with a negative marking of 0.25 for incorrect answers. Additionally, 60 marks are allocated for the evaluation of service records (APARs).
