Selection Process
The selection process is a multi-stage examination. Candidates first appear for a Computer Based Examination (Paper-I). Those who qualify proceed to the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET), which are qualifying in nature. Following this, candidates must clear Paper-II, which focuses on English language and comprehension. The final stages include a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification to ensure all eligibility requirements are met before the final merit list is prepared.
Exam Pattern
Paper-I consists of four sections: General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and English, with 25 questions each. Paper-II includes sections on Reasoning, GK, and Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions each) and a dedicated English section with 100 questions. Negative marking is applicable at 0.25 for Paper-I and 0.50 for Paper-II.
