Selection Process

The selection process consists of a Computer Based Online Test (CBT) for all candidates. The test evaluates technical knowledge, reasoning, English, and general awareness. For the Fireman post, candidates who qualify the CBT must also clear a physical fitness test involving running, ladder lifting, and climbing. Merit lists are prepared category-wise based on CBT scores, with normalization applied for multi-shift exams.

Exam Pattern

The CBT is conducted in two parts for most posts. Part-I is a mandatory Punjabi language qualifying test (50 questions, 50% qualifying marks). Part-II consists of 100 MCQs covering discipline-specific topics, Punjabi, GK, Reasoning, and English. Negative marking of 0.25 is applicable for incorrect answers in Part-II.
