Selection Process

The selection process involves a two-stage assessment. First, candidates must appear for a written test conducted in Ahmedabad, which includes objective-type questions on general studies, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English grammar, and post-specific subjects, followed by a descriptive paper. Candidates qualifying the written test are shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio for an interview. The final merit list is prepared based on a 60% weightage for the written test and 40% for the interview. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in both stages to be considered for final empanelment.

Exam Pattern

The written test consists of four parts: Part A (General Studies, Aptitude, Reasoning - 36 questions), Part B (English Grammar - 32 questions), Part C (Specialized Subject - 36 questions), and Part D (Descriptive - 2 questions). Each correct answer in objective parts carries +3 marks, with -1 for wrong answers. The descriptive part is worth 20 marks total.
