Selection Process

The selection process is divided into three distinct stages designed to assess both academic knowledge and artistic talent. First, candidates must appear for a written test consisting of 50 objective-type questions covering general awareness, mathematics, reasoning, and cultural knowledge, which carries 50 marks. Second, a practical demonstration is conducted to evaluate the candidate's musical skill, accounting for 35 marks. Finally, 15 marks are awarded based on the assessment of testimonials, certificates, and prizes earned in cultural activities. The total evaluation is out of 100 marks, and a negative marking of 1/3rd applies to the written examination.

Exam Pattern

The written test is a 60-minute examination featuring 50 objective-type questions. The syllabus includes General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning, and General Knowledge specifically related to cultural activities. The paper is conducted in a bilingual format (Hindi and English), and a penalty of 1/3rd mark is deducted for every incorrect answer provided by the candidate.
