Selection Process

The selection process consists of two primary stages. First, candidates must appear for an objective-type computer-based written examination conducted by the MPESB, covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Intellectual Ability, Science, and Arithmetic. There is no negative marking in this exam. Second, candidates who qualify the written test based on category-wise cut-offs are invited for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and document verification. The PET includes an 800-meter race, long jump, and shot put, which are scored to determine the final merit list alongside the written exam performance.

Exam Pattern

The written exam is a 100-mark computer-based test with 100 objective questions to be completed in 2 hours. The syllabus includes General Knowledge & Reasoning (40 marks), Intellectual Ability & Mental Aptitude (30 marks), and Science & Simple Arithmetic (30 marks).
