How to Apply

  1. Download the prescribed application form as provided in official notification.
  2. Fill the application form carefully in block letters, ensuring all details like name, date of birth (DD-MM-YYYY), address, contact details, and other personal information are correctly entered.
  3. Enter educational qualifications in reverse chronological order, including institution name, dates of study, percentage, and subjects studied.
  4. Provide details of present occupation and previous experience (if any) in the specified sections of the form.
  5. Fill category details (SC/ST/others) and mention clearly if applicable.
  6. Attach required documents such as educational certificates, proof of age, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant testimonials as mentioned in the advertisement.
  7. Paste a recent passport size photograph in the space provided on the application form.
  8. Attach Bank Draft details (name of bank, draft number, date) as application fee proof in the form.
  9. Sign the application form at the designated place with date.
  10. Submit the completed application form along with all enclosures to the specified office address of Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited, so that it reaches on or before 15-05-2026.
  11. Keep a copy of the filled application form and documents for future reference.

Application Fee

A bank draft of Rs. 400/- is required for ST/SC candidates and Rs. 800/- for General candidates. The draft must be payable at Shillong in favour of the Principal Account, MeECL, Shillong.

Age Limit

As per State Government norms (Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST)

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted through a written examination followed by a personal interview. The written test will consist of a technical paper carrying 150 marks and a general studies paper carrying 25 marks, with a total duration of 3 hours. The examination will be conducted using the optical mark recognition (OMR) system. Only candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for the personal interview, which will carry 25 marks.
