Selection Process
The selection process for Class VI admission is conducted through a single-stage Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). This test evaluates students on mental ability, arithmetic, and language skills. Following the examination, a merit list is prepared based on the performance of the candidates. Shortlisted students are then required to undergo a document verification process to confirm their eligibility, age, and residential status before final admission is granted by the respective JNV.
Exam Pattern
The JNVST consists of 80 objective-type questions totaling 100 marks, to be completed in 2 hours. The test includes a Mental Ability Test (40 questions, 50 marks), an Arithmetic Test (20 questions, 25 marks), and a Language Test (20 questions, 25 marks). Each correct answer earns 1.25 marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect responses. Divyang candidates are provided an additional 40 minutes to complete the paper.
