Job Description

Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIIT Vadodara) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for 1 post of Junior Research Fellow on fixed-term basis under a research project. Applications will be accepted up to 2026-05-04.

This study explores using advanced satellite radar data to identify different types of crops and monitor their growth. It uses artificial intelligence to combine information from L and S band sensors to see through clouds and darkness. The goal is to provide accurate agricultural data for better food security and farming plans in India. This research is funded by the Space Applications Centre (ISRO).

Eligibility
  • M.E/M.Tech./M.Sc. in CS/IT/AI/ECE/EE or in any other related field with minimum 60% or 6.5 CPI on scale of 10.
  • Those appearing for M.Tech/M.E last semester may also apply (proof of M.Tech/M.E certificate up to 3rd semester to be provided during interview).
  • Desirable: Image Processing, Data Fusion, Matlab, QGIS, Sensor Data Processing and Analytics; experience of coding using Python language and working knowledge of GIS.
