Selection Process
The selection process is conducted through a personal interview by a Selection Board. There is no written examination. If the volume of applications is high, ESIC will shortlist candidates based on their teaching experience at the Associate Professor level or higher. Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on merit and experience. A minimum qualifying mark of 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST/PwBD is required to be considered for the final selection list.

You need either 4 years of teaching experience as a Reader or Associate Professor in a recognized medical college, or 3 years as an Associate Professor with at least 4 indexed research publications as the First Author, with at least 2 published during your tenure as an Associate Professor.
Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India where ESIC operates medical colleges and PGIMSRs. You must indicate at least 10 state preferences in your application form, though final posting is subject to administrative requirements and cannot be claimed as a right.
