Selection Process

The selection process consists of a personal interview conducted by a Selection Board. There is no written examination for these posts. If the number of applications is high, ESIC will shortlist candidates based on their teaching experience and research publications beyond the minimum requirements. Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on merit during the interview. A minimum qualifying mark is set at 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST/PwBD categories. You need either 4 years of experience as a Reader or Associate Professor in a recognized medical college, or 3 years as an Associate Professor with at least 4 indexed research publications as the First Author, of which at least 2 must be from your tenure as an Associate Professor.

Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India across ESIC medical colleges and PGIMSRs. While you must indicate at least 10 state preferences in your application, final postings are subject to administrative requirements and cannot be claimed as a right.
