Selection Process
The selection process for the Assistant Professor position involves a multi-stage evaluation. First, candidates must appear for an objective-type screening test (Paper I) covering General Knowledge and language proficiency. Successful candidates proceed to a descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (Paper II) to assess their core knowledge in Anthropology. Following this, document verification is conducted to ensure all eligibility criteria are met. Finally, a Personality Test is held at the HPPSC office in Shimla. The final merit list is prepared based on the combined performance in the Subject Aptitude Test and the Personality Test.
Exam Pattern
Paper I is an objective screening test consisting of 100 marks, covering General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh (30 marks), National/International Affairs (30 marks), Hindi (20 marks), and English (20 marks). Paper II is a descriptive Subject Aptitude Test carrying 120 marks with a 3-hour duration. Negative marking of 0.25 applies to incorrect answers in Paper I.
