Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university and a professional teaching degree (B.Ed/D.El.Ed). Specific subject combinations are required for secondary level teaching roles.
The minimum age for application is 18 years. The maximum age limit varies by category, typically capped at 37 years for General (Male) candidates, with extensions provided for females and reserved classes.
The selection process consists of a single-stage objective-type written examination. Candidates who qualify based on the board-determined cut-off marks are awarded the eligibility certificate.
