BSF SI Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess the following:
- SI (Master): 10+2 or equivalent with a Second Class Master Certificate issued by the Mercantile Marine Department.
- SI (Engine Driver): 10+2 or equivalent with a First Class Engine Driver Certificate.
- Physical Standards: Height (165 cm), Chest (75-80 cm), Weight (Proportionate to height).
The age limit for BSF SI (Water Wing) is 22 to 28 years as of the crucial date specified in the official notification.
- First Phase: Written Examination
- Second Phase: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Third Phase: Document Verification
- Fourth Phase: Medical Examination
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Central Government rules
- Departmental Candidates: Up to 40 years for UR
